What personal information do you collect?
We may request your e-mail address or mailing address for the purposes of providing a service (for example, subscriptions to e-mail newsletter lists, product mailings, etc.). Such information is used for internal purposes only, to communicate with users and provide the service(s) requested. We also may collect demographic information (such as job title and company information). We use aggregate demographic information about our customers to improve our services, for marketing purposes and/or industry reporting purposes. Participation in any of our services is completely voluntary and you have a choice whether or not to disclose personal information. No personal, credit card or e-mail information is given, rented or sold to third parties for any purpose, other than what is outlined below.
If you are purchasing a product from Free To Choose Network, we need to know your name, email address, mailing address, credit card number and expiration date. This allows us to process and fulfill your order and to notify you of your order status.
If users wish to subscribe to our e-mail newsletters, we ask for information such as name and an e-mail address. We use this information in the same manner as we use contact information in the ordering process described above. Recipients of our newsletters can unsubscribe using the instructions listed at the end of the e-mail newsletter.
Our website may offer a message board or other interactive feature aimed at allowing visitors to communicate with one another regarding our products and services. While the information collected by our company during the registration process is not shared or sold, please note that all personal information sent or posted via this feature becomes public information for which we are not responsible. Please keep in mind that whenever you voluntarily disclose personal information online, that information can be collected and used by others. In short, if you post personal information online that is accessible to the public, you may receive unsolicited messages from other parties in return.
Communications with Us
When customers contact us via snail mail or email with requests for service, support or information, we may retain such communications for our internal administrative purposes, and to help us better serve customers.
Automatic Data Collection
For our internal purposes, we gather date, time, browser type, navigation history and IP address of all visitors to our web site. This information does not contain anything that can identify users personally. We use this information for our internal security audit log, trend analysis and system administration, and to gather broad demographic information about our user base for aggregate use.
With Whom Is My Information Shared?
On occasion, we may ask a third party to administer an auditing survey on behalf of Free To Choose Network. Personal information such as first and last names and corresponding email addresses may be forwarded to the auditing company for purposes of contacting Free To Choose Network customers. Such information is not stored, used or sold by the auditing company other than to administer the survey. If you are asked to participate in the survey, please note that participation is completely voluntary and you have a choice whether or not to disclose any information.
We may also disclose your personal information when required by law or in the good-faith belief that such action is necessary to:
a) Cooperate with the investigations of purported unlawful activities and conform to the edicts of the law;
b) Protect and defend the rights or property of Free To Choose Network and related properties, or visitors to our website and related properties;
c) Identify persons who may be violating the law.
We use precautions to protect our customers' personal information and to store it securely. Sensitive information that is transmitted to us online (such as a credit card number) is encrypted and is transmitted to us securely. In addition, access to all of our customers' information, not just the sensitive information mentioned above, is restricted. Only employees who need the information to perform a specific job (for example, a billing clerk or a customer service representative) are granted access to personally identifiable information. Finally, the servers on which we store personally identifiable information are kept in a secure environment.
Our web site contains links to other sites. Free To Choose Network is not responsible for the privacy practices or content of such other sites. We encourage our users to be aware when they leave our site and to read the privacy statements of each web site to which we may link that may collect personally identifiable information.
