In 1980 Ronald Farmer founded US Signs, a Houston based manufacturer of identification signage for major national accounts. Though relatively small with $22 million revenue, US Signs ranks in the top 100 of the 30,000 sign companies in the US. Ron now serves as Chairman.
Ron is also CEO of US LED which he founded in 2001 to serve the early demand for LED sign lighting. With the introduction of LED lighting products for outdoor and refrigeration lighting, the company growth is expected to accelerate beyond the 70% it has averaged the last five years. GE, Teledyne, Sylvania, Phillips, and Westinghouse are among the competitors.
Ron and his wife, Margarita, reside in Houston, TX and have two children and three grandchildren. Ron’s avocational passion is road racing his Corvette in NASA-sanctioned events. He also enjoys golfing and pistol shooting.
